I'm on the learning curve about bees and providing habitat and shelter for them. I contemplated raising honey, but it's just more than I want to take on. I am interested in mason bees and used this book among others to educate myself. I haven't yet tried to attract them but plan to as part or an overall garden design that is creature and insect friendly.I live in a populated area but there is abundant open space around our area that provides habitat. It seems like most people aren't tuned into the bee population crisis the world is in and I feel strongly we should all do our bit. This book will show you how.

Great book to give the details on supporting Mason bees. These little guys do more pollinating than honeybees and don't sting! I am eager to raise them and pollinate the mango tree next door that flowers and then doesn't fruit. Mason bees to the rescue. Great fun.

I was hoping that this book would have some nice photos and I was not disappointed. There are a good number of nice color photos in the front of the book and the rest of the book has black-and-white pictures. There is a lot of information on why Mason bees are important and on how to care for them. Since I am interested in the subject it was an interesting read.

I am really glad I got this book. It is very informative if you are a beginner & is easy to understand. It, also, has a nice resource section in the back of the book. The book was worth buying & a necessity for a beginner mason or leaf cutter bee keeper.

A must have resource for anyone that invest the time and expense for fruit and vegetable plants. Followed the directions of the author and the same space that yielded fewer than a dozen tomatoes last year has produced hundreds this season and is still going strong.

The book itself is fine. I ordered this book as a gift and it should have been NEW. I believe I received a used book. When the book arrived I had to wipe it off with a towel because it was covered in something gritty. The back of the book is badly stained. I attached a photo but the stains are much darker in person. I don't want to go through the hassle of a return/exchange. This is a gift for my son so I'll have to explain to him that I ordered a new book, but this is what I received.

Beyond informative. I do non-GMO gardening and very concerned for the welfare of our bees. I will be getting materials together to start off next season's garden. We already have native plants, red-bud trees, kwanzan cherry, blueberries, Bradford pear and massive amounts of clover in the yard. I am really looking forward to this experience and will be putting up bee homes for both mason and leaf cutters. Can't wait to see who shows up! Thank you.
