Loved reading the prequel and all the five books in the series. I strongly recommend this final book along with the prquel and the other four books in order to understand the circumstances and the characters.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy supplied at no charge by the author/publisher.This is Book 5 and the final in The Ambition & Destiny Series and follows the story of William-Wetherby Jackson & his brother Charles. Charles had taken an apprenticeship at sea & Willian-Wetherby has been blackmailed into leaving Birmingham. So William-Wetherby seeks his brother & ends up in Liverpool. The brothers catch up & William-Wetherby is encouraged to join the police force whilst Charles doesn’t like sea life & goes into business.William-Wetherby meets Bella & marries her but Bella doesn’t know anything about his former life, which eventually makes its way into their lives. Due to their financial state William-Wetherby takes any opportunity for promotion to earn more money & goes undercover to catch a gang from Birmingham. This impacts on his future.This book does jump around a bit which I found a bit disconcerting at first, but to tell the stories of both William-Wetherby & Charles this needs to be.An enjoyable read & it was good to know how the family evolved & the legacy that Mary left her family.
Wow!!! I don't think I've ever hated a set of characters more in my life than I have the Wetherby's!!! The author makes you see and feel everyones emotion and action in this series and I would highly recommend you start at book one and continue through. She brings the characyers, and the era so to life that you keep hoping to hear the first Wetherby will get the beating he deserves! An awesome series, but certainly not happy ever after!!
Sadly I just finished the last book in this series. I will miss the people I've come to know and become so attached to. Theirs was such a life like tale. Now I will probably go through a period of book withdrawl…It was that Good! I would love to read a storyline of WW2 from this author. Special thanks for making this series available thru KINDLE UNLIMITED SO I & PEOPLE LIKE ME COULD ENJOY THEM!!!!
I will start by saying I really enjoyed this series.. Sad that it is ending..Now, this book pretty much wraps everything up but I just felt like it jumped around alot and was more confusing than the rest of the series..It also was a little too long..But all in all a great read that I would recommend.
I have finished reading the last book in this saga. With the death of the character Mr Wetherby I feel the story lost some of my interest. The other characters didn’t hold the saga for me. All in all it was a good story
Stayed up until Wed hours several nights. I loved the whole series and wished for more. I will read this writer every chance I get.
